In the foreground, a rowing crew prepares to launch their boat, while in the background, a Royal Hospital and the distinctive Doggett's Coat and Badge can be seen. The Royal Hospital, a charitable institution founded by Charles II, provided care for soldiers and sailors, while Doggett's Coat and Badge is an historic rowing race that still takes place on the Thames today.
