This photograph captures the historic moment when the Right Reverend Arthur Winnington-Ingram, Bishop of London, donned a military uniform for the first time in 1946. Winnington-Ingram, who was born on February 14, 1858, was an esteemed clergyman and military chaplain, having served in the British Army during the Second Boer War.
