This evocative photograph captures the distinguished figure of Cecil Armstrong Gibbs (1889-1967), a renowned British musical composer known for his exquisite waltz, "Dusk," and settings of the poet Walter de la Mare's works. Born in London, Armstrong Gibbs studied at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, where he honed his skills as a composer and pianist.
