Step back in time to the vibrant and exotic Papagayo Room at the Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill, San Francisco, California, during the 1950s. This world-famous Mexican dining establishment was a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike, known for its authentic and delicious cuisine. The room was adorned with lush greenery, colorful decor, and the most intriguing of features - live parrots perched on branches overhead, adding a touch of enchantment to the dining experience. The waiters, dressed in traditional Mexican attire, would serve up delicious margaritas and plates piled high with mouth-watering Mexican dishes. The parrots, named Al and Willie, were a beloved and entertaining part of the dining experience, much to the delight of diners.
