Charles VII, also known as Charles the Victorious, triumphantly enters Paris on July 17, 1437, marking the end of the Hundred Years War and the beginning of the House of Valois reign in France. In this historic moment, Charles, dressed in full armor and wearing the fleur-de-lis on his helmet, rides his horse through the city gates, surrounded by his loyal soldiers and citizens who have come out to welcome their new king.
