Photograph of Louise Brooks (1906-1985), film actress. Between 1925 - 1938, she appeared in 24 films. Brooks was a Paramount star when this photo was taken, but she quit the studio in the same year when she was denied a raise. She went on to make her finest film, Pandoras Box
