This evocative photograph captures the intense gaze of Dabulamanzi, the younger brother of the renowned Zulu Commander Cetewayo (also known as Cetshwayo), during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. The image, titled "Isandula, or Dabulamanzi, Zulu Commander," was taken at the Isandlwana River, the site of one of the most significant battles of the war. Dabulamanzi, a skilled military leader in his own right, played a pivotal role in the conflict.
