This evocative photograph captures the majestic Aquitania, a Cunard White Star liner that once ruled the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Launched on May 29, 1914, the Aquitania was a testament to the engineering marvels of the early 20th century. Measuring an impressive 901 feet in length and weighing 45,647 tons, she was one of the largest and most luxurious ocean liners of her time. The Aquitania was a true transatlantic transport icon, making her maiden voyage from Liverpool to New York on August 21, 1914. Her sleek design and opulent interiors offered passengers an unparalleled travel experience, complete with grand ballrooms, elegant dining rooms, and luxurious cabins. Despite her grandeur, the Aquitania's tenure as a leading ocean liner was short-lived.
