Loir is a canton located in the French region of Pays de la Loire, and is situated in the east of the department of Sarthe and borders with the departments of Mayenne, Orne and Eure-et-Loir. The canton has an area of about 845 square kilometers and a population estimated at around 32,000 people. The main town is La Ferté-Bernard which serves as its administrative center.
