Charles Collins Collection

Charles Collins is an artist, curator and educator based in Los Angeles. He has exhibited his artwork in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He has also curated exhibitions for institutions such as the California African American Museum and the Hammer Museum. His work focuses on themes of identity, race, gender and social justice. His practice includes painting, drawing, sculpture and installation art. In addition to his artistic practice, Charles is a professor at California State University Northridge where he teaches courses on art history and contemporary art practices. He is also a mentor for young artists through his organization which provides resources to emerging artists from diverse backgrounds who are interested in pursuing careers in the arts.
