Their intention was to either kill or starve their enemy into submission. However, faced with limited options for escape, the resourceful Crows killed and skinned one of their ponies. Ingeniously utilizing every available material, they transformed the pony's hide into ropes which were then used to lower their ponies and people from the opposite side of the mountain.
