"This print depicts Rudyard's Eddystone Lighthouse, an iconic landmark of maritime history. The image is an engraving based on a painting by the renowned British artist, Clarkson Stanfield, R.A. (Royal Academician), created specifically for private theatrical events at Campden-House in the late 19th century. The painting was inspired by the events surrounding the construction of the Eddystone Lighthouse, which was built by John Rudyerd in 1709.
