The new propeller, made by Hamilton-Sundstrand, increases performance and safety along with better maintenance techniques. Other improvements to the airframe include the Group II Mission Computer Replacement Program, which speeds up the Hawkeyeas computers eight times faster than the older models. The final modification to the E-2C+ Hawkeye is a new flat panel display for the Naval Flight Officeras mission scopes. The new display has a crisper picture, increased contrast and brightness, increased maintenance reliability and is 44 pounds lighter per scope
