Born on November 13, 1850, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Stevenson is considered one of the greatest literary figures of the late 19th century. Known for his novels, poems, and travel writings, his works continue to captivate readers around the world. In this photograph, taken in 1894, Stevenson is seen with a quill pen in hand, inking words onto a sheet of paper. The room around him is filled with the paraphernalia of a dedicated writer: books, papers, and inkwells. The atmosphere is one of intense focus and creativity, a testament to Stevenson's unwavering dedication to his craft.
