A view of Bangor-on-Dee station near Wrexham in Wales, c.1950s, showing locomotive No. 5404 standing at the station with the station building and bridge in the background. Locomotive 5404 was built in 1931 and was withdrawn from service in 1957. Bangor-on-Dee station opened in November 1895 and closed in September 1962

Pontllanfraith Low Level Station photographed in 1958, looking east along the line. The footbridge has been used to advertise Hancocks beer, which at that time was Wales's largest brewer, based in Cardiff. Sited just before the footbridge is one of the GWR's standard corrugated iron shelters, designed for use on smaller station platforms to shelter passengers from the vagaries of the weather
