Founded in 1893, the club plays in League One of the English Football League and has won the FA Cup once and the Football League Trophy twice. The team's home ground is Priestfield Stadium, which has a capacity of over 11,000 spectators. They have been managed by Steve Evans since 2019 and are currently captained by Kyle Dempsey. The club's traditional kit colours are blue and white striped shirts with white shorts and socks. Over its long history they have had many memorable moments including winning promotion to the Premier League in 2000 as well as reaching two FA Cup semi-finals in 1949 and 2013 respectively. They also hold several records such as being one of only three teams to win all four divisions of English football as well as having played more seasons than any other club at their current level or below since World War II ended.
