Alien in a jar, Roswell, New Mexico, USA

Alien in a jar, Roswell, New Mexico, USA. During a thunderstorm in this area on 2 July 1947 there were a large number of UFO sightings. The subsequent morning a local rancher found wreckage in his field which, it has been alleged, was a UFO craft containing alien bodies. The official explanation is that it was a crashed weather balloon but this has not stopped speculation and conspiracy theories. Many people believe that autopsies were performed on the aliens and their bodies were then preserved, perhaps in a similar way to that shown in this reconstruction

Glowing ball UFO over Stonehenge

Glowing ball UFO at Stonehenge, computer artwork. Glowing ball UFO reports are common. While such a report may not be satisfactorily explained, there are several possible explanations. Seeing a known object under strange conditions may lead the observer's imagination to mislead them, or this could be a known atmospheric phenomenon such as ball lightning. Circles of standing stones, like Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England, were probably used to make astronomical calendar observations. Stonehenge's construction dates from about 5000 years ago. The largest stones are over 7 metres high and weigh 40 tonnes
