Mayor Dennis Hutchings welcomed the first Cornish Gorsedh to be held in the town since its inauguration in 1928 as more than 160 Bards formed the great circle. The Mayor spoke the first few words in Cornish An hathui lowen my Lostwithyel a thinerck thewch pop all which roughly translates as This happy day Lostwithiel welcomes you all. Pictured are 24 Lostwithiel Brownies, bare-footed and in tunics of green, performing the flower dance.
