Stefan, born in 1932, was the eldest, followed by Maria Ileana, born in 1936, and Alexandra, born in 1939. The family's exile and the tumultuous political climate of the time meant that the children spent their formative years away from their homeland, but they remained deeply connected to their Romanian heritage.
