This historic photograph captures the signing of the Treaty of San Stefano on March 3, 1878, marking the end of the Russo-Turkish War and the beginning of a new era in international relations. The treaty, signed in the Bulgarian city of San Stefano, brought an end to the long-standing conflict between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, which had been simmering since the mid-19th century.
