The year is believed to be around 49-51 AD, and the figure to her right is none other than the Apostle Paul, who would go on to become one of the most influential figures in the spread of Christianity. Lydia's successful business endeavors had made her a prominent figure in Thyatira's bustling commercial scene. Yet, it was her openness to new ideas and her receptive spirit that made her an ideal candidate for Paul's message of faith and salvation.
