This photograph, taken in circa 1905, showcases the grandeur and elegance of the Grand Palais in Paris, France. Designed by the renowned architect, Albert Louis Jean Baptiste Eugène Deglane, the Beaux-Arts style building was inaugurated in 1900 for the Exposition Universelle (World's Fair) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. The image beautifully captures the architectural masterpiece in its early years, with its iconic glass and iron structure illuminated by the soft glow of the setting sun. The Grand Palais was built to house the fine arts exhibitions, and its vast interior spaces have since welcomed countless artworks and visitors from around the world. Deglane's design was inspired by the Palais de l'Industrie, which was built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle.
