Taro Plantation - Samoa - Pacific Ocean. Taro is a root vegetable native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. Taro features in traditional desserts such as Samoan "fa'ausi", which consists of grated, cooked taro mixed with coconut milk and brown sugar.
