(Atlas) Hedley Roberts (1864-1946) and Vulcana (Miriam Kate Roberts (nee Williams) (1874-1946) - performed shows of strength and classic poses. They toured Britain, Europe and Australia with the Atlas and Vulcana Group of Society Athletes. They had six children, some of whom performed with them

Two proud British locomotives

Locos 44767 "George Stephenson" and 92214 "Cock o The North" running on North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR).
44767 was built in 1947 for the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS), a Stanier, 4-6-0 Black Five Class numbered 4767, renumbered by British Rail 44767, withdrawn in 1967. Named "George Stephenson", preserved and run by NYMR.
92214 was built in1959, Class 9F, 2-10-0, withdrawn 1965. Preserved by Peak Railway Society in 1980, later moved to NYMR in 2010. Named "Cock o The North" in 2011. Taken over by the Great Central Railway in 2014 and renamed "Central Star"

APSLEY HOUSE, London. "Thomas Graham, Lord Lynedoch" commissioned in 1817 from Sir Thomas LAWRENCE (1769-1830). General Graham (1748-1843) served with distinction in the Revolutionary Wars, capturing Malta from the French in 1800. In the Peninsular Wars he served as aide de camp to Sir John Moore in the Corunna campaign (1808), then with distiction at the siege of Cadiz (1811) where he was the victor of the Battle of Barrosa. He later joined Wellington and commanded the allied left wing throughout the campaign of 1813. Lyndoch, the Barossa Valley and the Barossa Ranges of South Australia were all named in his honour. WM 1473-1948
