Manhattan Bridge Collection

It was designed by architect Leon Moisseiff and opened to traffic on December 31, 1909. The bridge is 6,855 feet long and has two levels: an upper level for vehicular traffic and a lower level for subway trains. The bridge's four main cables are each made up of 5,282 individual wires. Its two towers are 338 feet tall and constructed from granite blocks quarried in Maine.
