Within a mere three days of landing on foreign shores, this remarkable unit consisting of skilled mechanics from both the RAF and Royal Canadian Air Force was already hard at work. Attached to a Canadian airfield, their primary responsibility was to restore aircraft that had been damaged by enemy fire or during landing. In just one and a half days since commencing their crucial tasks, these unsung heroes managed to successfully repair five Spitfire planes for an operational flying squadron.
