Paul McCartney pictured in Bangor North Wales. Paul and The Beatles had travelled to Bangor, a small seaside town on the north coast of Wales to spend time with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, leader of the Spiritual Regeneration Movement (now better known as Transcendental Meditation) after hearing him speak in London.
It was on this trip that Brian Epstein died, on the 27th August, possibly changing the course of the future of The Beatles.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures a significant moment in music history as Paul McCartney, one of the legendary members of The Beatles, is pictured in Bangor, North Wales. In 1967, Paul and his bandmates embarked on a journey to this charming seaside town to spend time with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the influential leader of the Spiritual Regeneration Movement (now known as Transcendental Meditation). They were drawn to him after hearing him speak in London. However, amidst their spiritual exploration and musical pursuits during this trip, tragedy struck. Brian Epstein, The Beatles' manager and dear friend, tragically passed away on August 27th. This unforeseen event potentially altered the course of the future for these iconic musicians. Taken by Stephen Shakeshaft on August 26th, 1967 – just days before Epstein's untimely death – this portrait showcases Paul McCartney against a psychedelic backdrop that epitomizes the vibrant spirit of the era. With his collarless attire and sunlit stage setting behind him, it encapsulates both his individuality as an artist and the cultural revolution happening at that time. This print from Memory Lane Prints not only immortalizes an extraordinary moment but also serves as a visual reminder of how life's unexpected turns can shape destinies.
