Albert Finney marries French actress Anouk Aimee at Kensington registry Office. After the ceremony the bride left the Register Office wearing no ring, there was also no reception and no honeymoon - their only concession to tradition was a best man who was actor Michael Medwin. 7th August 1970

A "carry-it-around" television set combined with sound radio - the most important development in radio and TV reception since the pioneering days of John Logie Baird has arrived. It will cost no more than £60, and can be used off a car battery or a main supply.
