Howard Kendall, aged 20, has just signed for Everton Football Club for ?5,000 making him the highest priced wing-half in England.
He has just finished his contract for Preston.

Howard Kendall played for Everton from 1967 to 1974.
He returned as player/manager Everton Football Club in 1981, then as manager he won the FA Cup against Watford in 1984, and finished top of the league in the 1984/5 and 1986/7 seasons. He left his managerial job at Everton in 1987.
With Liverpool, his Everton team saw Merseyside football teams dominate the English football league in the 1980s.

Barclays ATM, 27th June 1967. Sir Thomas Bland, Deputy Chairman of Barclays Bank, unveils a robot cashier that dispenses cash at any time of the day or night. Designed and developed jointly with De la rue Instruments & the banks Management Services Department, the BarclayCash machine is installed at the Enfield branch. Actor, Reg Varney took time off from filming for the TV series Beggar Your Neighbour at Northwood to be the branch's first customer to use the automated dispenser. By inserting a special voucher and registering his personal code number by means of push buttons. Reg Varney quickly obtained 10 pounds in cash from the machine

Status Quo in 1981 were Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, bass player Alan Lancaster and drummer John Coghlan.
Sometime in 1981 John Coghlan left and was replaced by Pete Kircher. It is possible that John Coghlan is the drummer in these pictures, where the drummer is just visible, but again, approach with some caution.
