Nearly 1000 children were auditioned for the Ken Dodd Diddymen at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool. They will appear in his Christmas show The Ken Dodd Laughter Spectacular which opens 23rd December. They can't all be Diddymen and for one it was tears Clare Winsland, 11, of Ainsdale near Southport, lived too far away to get a part. 1st November 1970
