On parade... Boys Brigade companies from the Pennine Division of the Yorkshire Battalion joined in a parade at Mirfield. The bands of the Mirfield and Harrogate companies played as they marched to a service at Hopton United Reformed Church which was conducted by the Rev Frank Hall ? who is also chaplain to the 1st Mirfield Company ? and the Rev Michael Wear, the battalion chaplain and a former Hopton minster. Also there was Dewsbury MP Ann Taylor, while the Kirklees Deputy Mayor, Clr Leonard Drake, took the salute after the service. 30th October 1988
