Party time... children at Birchencliffe play group celebrate the groups 20thrthday. More than 200 guests attended a family disco and supper for past and present children and staff. A celebration cake, made by Val Balmforth, Christine Wood and Rhonda Miller, was cut by playschool committee chairwoman, Diana Hogley, after present members of the playground blew out the candles. Souvenir pencils were given to all the children at the party and this was followed by a tea party for current members of the group. 15th October 1990
