When this picture was taken, " She Loves You" was at number one in the UK charts. It had been released on August 23rd, with advanced orders of 500, 000, and spent 6 weeks at number one. The single that arguably started proper Beatlemania. John Lennon was 22 and looking forward to his 23rd birthday on the 9th October, the following week.
