In our photograph the girls, Marie Bishop, the captain, Elizabeth Wilson, Janet Vaughan and Venessa Webb, all pupils of Leamington Girls College, look on as the Spa Manager, Mr. N. Westgate, hands some refreshments to the Mayor, Councillor L.L. Freeman. They were each presented with a propelling pencil by the Mayor in recognition of their achievement.
