"Ringos Return. Tax exile Ringo starr has come home to Britain after six years
" Ringos Return. Tax exile Ringo starr has come home to Britain after six years - and its costing him a fortune. The former Beatle has moved back into his old home, a 26-room mansion in Berkshire, with his American wife Barbara Bach, who married him last spring. Ringo said on Tuesday October 20: " I have been a British resident again since last June. But nobody seems to have known about it except the tax people. They handed me a number as soon as I got back." Ringo has just finished his first record album in two years called Stop and Smell the Roses. He bought the house in 1970 while he was in exile travelling the world. He says: " I didn t own it, but I have it back now. Barbara and I have changed it and its a warm, loving place to live." Ringo's Return - A Homecoming Fit for a Beatle
EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this photo print, we witness the long-awaited return of Ringo Starr to his beloved homeland after six years in tax exile. The iconic former Beatle has settled back into his opulent 26-room mansion nestled in the picturesque Berkshire countryside alongside his American wife, Barbara Bach. Having secretly resumed British residency since June, Ringo humorously reveals that only the tax authorities seemed aware of his homecoming as they promptly handed him a number upon arrival. However, news of his return is now spreading like wildfire among fans and admirers alike. While residing abroad, Ringo had acquired this magnificent estate back in 1970 but was unable to truly call it his own until now. With Barbara by his side, they have lovingly transformed their residence into a warm and inviting sanctuary where cherished memories are made. Notably, amidst settling back into domestic life, Ringo has also been hard at work on his latest musical endeavor – an eagerly anticipated record album titled "Stop and Smell the Roses" marking a triumphant return to the studio after two years. This extraordinary photograph captures not just an artist reclaiming what is rightfully theirs but also encapsulates the joyous reunion between two souls who have found solace within these walls. It serves as a testament to enduring love and creative resurgence while reminding us all that home truly is where the heart belongs.
