Townsendii Collection

Townsendii, also known as the Townsend's chipmunk, is a species of Sciuridae mammals in the family of squirrels, and is native to western North America and can be found from British Columbia to northern Mexico and has a reddish-brown fur with white stripes on its back and sides, and a black stripe running down its back. Its diet consists mainly of nuts, seeds, fruits, fungi and insects and can active during the day and spend most of their time foraging for food or gathering it into caches for later use, and are solitary animals that live in burrows they dig themselves or take over from other animals such as marmots or ground squirrels. They have an average lifespan of five years in the wild but can live up to nine years in captivity if given proper care.
