The historical image, captured by an unknown artist, showcases the opulence and grandeur of the event, which took place during the Jacobite uprisings in Scotland and England. Alice, dressed in a magnificent gown adorned with intricate lace and embroidery, holds a bouquet of flowers as she exchanges vows with her groom, who wears the traditional Scottish bonnet and plaid.
