The Small Periwinkle, depicted on the left, is a low-growing, creeping plant with heart-shaped leaves and blue or purple flowers. Traditionally used for various ailments, including epilepsy, Small Periwinkle was also believed to have protective properties against evil spirits and witches. In the center, the Great Periwinkle unfurls its grandeur with larger, glossy leaves and larger, funnel-shaped, white flowers. This plant, also known as Common Periwinkle or Myrtle, was employed for a myriad of medicinal purposes, including the treatment of wounds, ulcers, and gastrointestinal issues.
