Originally built as a Cessna L-27A-CE in the 1960s, this aircraft was later re-designated as a U-3A in 1962. After its military career, 58-2161 was disposed of to Gateway Technical College located at Janesville-Rock County Airport in Janesville, Wisconsin. The registration number N1395K was assigned to the aircraft on March 27, 1982, but it was not taken up and was eventually cancelled on April 15, 2011. This aeronautical model, with its distinctive blue paint scheme, is a reminder of the rich history of military aviation.
