This photograph showcases the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Canadair CL-28 Argus Mk. 1 aircraft with the military registration number 20718, also known as its Canadian military designation CP-107, parked at RAF St. Mawgan in England during the year 1961. The Argus Mk. 1 was a maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, primarily used for anti-submarine warfare and search and rescue missions. Its distinctive features included a large rotodome, which housed a Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD) system, allowing the crew to detect submarines underwater.
