This is an advertisement for the "Merseyside Aviation Display" held on July 1st, 1933 at Liverpool Airport—Speke. The event featured the official opening of the airport by Rt. Hon. Marquis of Londonderry, K. G. , who was the Secretary of State for Air at that time. The grand opening was scheduled for Saturday, July 1st, 1933 at 2:45 p. m. , and it included a program with items from the Hendon Display performed by the Royal Air Force (by kind permission of the Air Council). The advertisement also announces races for private owners which consist of three competitions: 1. Aerial Competition from 11:30 to 12:30. 2. Landing Competition. 3. Liverpool Challenge—Liverpool Air Race. At the bottom of this black-and-white flyer are details about its organizers and patrons including William Courtenay, Major J. A. D. Naylor-Leyland (1920), and others along with their respective addresses in Merseyside area. The ad concludes with a bold statement proclaiming this event as "THE PREMIER CIVIL AIR MEETING OF THE YEAR. "
