Next to her is Elspeth Ironside, the daughter of Sir Edward Ironside, who was the Commander-in-Chief of Home Forces and later became Chief of the Imperial General Staff. Ronnie Aird's wife, Mrs Aird, is shown in the third position. Her husband was an assistant secretary at Lords Cricket Ground during this period. Following her is Miss Hersey Baird, who served as a chauffeuse to Sir John Greer Kirke, a senior British Army officer.
