As of July 2018, the New Inn went through a transformation and was renamed the Ugly Duckling. The adjacent premises once housed the Beautiful Swan Petrol Filling Station. Prior to this, the pub was also known as The Duck. Despite the name changes, the New Inn continued to serve its community until its closure in 2009.
