This exquisitely detailed hand-colored copperplate print showcases the striking beauty of the Pheasant-tailed Jacana (Hydrophasianus chirurgus), also known as the Chinese Jacana or Parra sinensis. The Jacana is a unique wading bird native to the shallow waters of South America, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.
