This hand-colored lithograph depicts Jerome Bonaparte (1784-1860), the youngest brother of Napoleon Bonaparte, during his reign as King of Westphalia from 1807 to 1813. The image is taken from "Costumes Historiques de la France" by Paul Lacroix, published by the Administration de Librairie in Paris in 1852. Jerome Bonaparte is shown in regal attire, wearing a gold and red military uniform adorned with various orders and decorations. The royal insignia of Westphalia, including the crown and scepter, are prominently displayed.
