This stunning handcoloured steel engraving, titled "Citrus fruits, fruits du genre citrus," is an exquisite example of botanical illustration from the 19th century. The illustration, created by Edouard Maubert and engraved by Lebrun, was published in the comprehensive work "La Regne Vegetal: Horticulture: Jardin Potager et Jardin Fruitier," edited by Pierre Oscar Reveil and published by A. Dupuis, Fr. Gerard, and Francois Herincqs in Paris between 1864 and 1871. The illustration showcases an array of citrus fruits, each meticulously rendered in vibrant colors.
