The Metropolitan Music Hall, 207 Edgware Road London - a very fine Music Hall which was sadly demolished in 1963 to allow the building of a flyover for the A40. Formerly an inn called the White Lion public house, the theatre was re-built in 1862 and opened under the new name of the Metropolitan Music Hall two years later. Step back in time and experience the enchanting allure of the Metropolitan Music Hall, once a beloved cultural gem nestled along Edgware Road in London. Originally established as the White Lion public house in the mid-19th century, this historic venue underwent a transformation in 1862, reopening as the Metropolitan Music Hall two years later. The theatre was later re-built in 1897 under the visionary guidance of renowned theatre architect Frank Matcham, who infused the space with exquisite detail and grandeur.
