The Laboe Naval Memorial, also known as the Laboe Tower, is an imposing structure located in Laboe, near Kiel, in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein. This historical landmark was started in 1927 and completed in 1936 as a memorial to the war dead of the Kaiserliche Marine (Imperial Navy) of the German Navy during World War I. After World War II, the memorial was expanded to include the Kriegsmarine (Navy of National Socialist Germany) dead.
