The Duke and Duchess of Marlborough in caricature
John Albert William Spencer-Churchill, 10th Duke of Marlborough (18 September 1897 11 March 1972), styled Marquess of Blandford until 1934, British peer, pictured with his wife, The Hon. Alexandra Mary Cadogan (22 February 1900 23 May 1961) in caricature by Tony Wysard. Part of a series entitled, Wysard's Waxworks, which appeared in The Tatler in 1938. The pair are depicted on a shoot - the Duchess perched on a shooting stick while her husband puffs on a cigar and takes aim. Date: 1938

Garroulds maids outfit advertisement
Advertisement for Garrould's of Edgware Road, London, highlighting their uniforms for staff. Distinguished hostesses who take a personal interest in their entertaining to express their artistry and good taste, select uniforms for their staff at Garrould's'. The uniform shown comprises a white organdie apron with a wine blue or green embroidered sprig, cap to match with two goffered frills at top and bottom, velvet ribbon to match and collar and cuffs to match. Fashion at Quaglinos, 1950
Model pose at the bar of the newly-decorated Quaglino's wearing outfits from Margaret Marks. On the left, a dark grey and lemon check suit with a pleated skirt and high buttoned neck line, worn with a flat little hat trimmed with mother of pearl hat pins and fine veiling. The outfit on the right is an oatmeal coloured woollen dress with the ridge of each pleat emphasised with black stitching. She is wearing this with a black velvet hat with a peaked crown and high black feather. At the bar, the bartender, Chris serves the two friends with a drink. Date: 1950
