Teahouse at Genkyu-en (Genkyuen) Garden, situated at the foot of the castle at Hikone, a city at the eastern edge of Lake Biwa in Shiga prefecture, central Japan. The park contains a sprawling villa built in the Chinese Tang Dynasty style in 1677 for Naooki Ii, the fourth lord of Hikone. This card (and the one which precedes it - see 11008067) were printed from an identical plate (prior to hand-tinting), albeit reversed! This card shows the INCORRECT orientation of the scene.
